Monday Mutterings: Yaquina LighthouseA drive along the Oregon Coast would not be complete unless you stopped at one of the many beautiful lighthouses. One that is very easy to access is the Yaquina Light House just outside of Newport. It has a great information center to walk through and then you can go out and wonder through the grounds right up to the light house itself. This area is teeming with wildlife. When I visited the birds were quite busy and singing. There was even one perched on the local sign as a greeter to all who came up the trail. Take the time to stop in and see this beautiful little sight.
